TIP: Trailer Identification Program Project

On Saturday, December 1st from 8 AM - 4 PM the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, the North Charleston Police Department, the Mount Pleasant Police Department, and the Charleston Police Department in partnership with the National Insurance Crime Bureau will conduct a Crime Prevention event known as The Trailer Identification Project (TIP). 

The citizens of Charleston County and surrounding areas are encouraged to bring their personally owned utility and transport trailers to the North Charleston Coliseum to have the trailer’s VIN and serial numbers entered into a records system. In addition, you will also receive an “Owner Applied Number” which will be engraved into the frame of the trailer and also a secondary hidden location.
