The Word We Google Search The Most To Spell

The 90th Scripps National Spelling Bee is underway in our nation’s capital.   There are 291 children participating in this years competition.    The preliminaries will be broadcast on ESPN3 today with the finals on ESPN2 tomorrow morning at 10 and the champion crowned ESPN tomorrow night at 8:30.   Last year the Bee ended in a tie for the 3rd year in a row.

Google has published a graphic of "America's most misspelled words," a state-by-state look at the most common word preceded in Google searches by the phrase "how to spell."    Credit the states of Connecticut and West Virginia who search for "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" and Michigan, Washington, Alabama, and Maine who search most for "pneumonia."

Be embarrassed for people in Wisconsin who need the most help spelling Wisconsin and South Dakota who can't spell college.    Here in the Palmetto State, the word we Google search the most is Chihuahua.
