By combing listings for the word "haunted," then sorting and ranking locations based on several factors, Yelp! has made a list of the scariest place in each of our 50 states. Included are locations that seem to make sense. For example, the Villisca Ax Murder House, Villisca, Iowa and the Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast Museum, Fall River, Massachusetts.
So what is South Carolina's scariest place? According to Yelp! it's Poogan's Porch. "Situated in an old, beautiful, Southern-style house, legend has it that this location is haunted by the ghost of one of the sisters who owned this house, Zoe St. Amand, who ended up in psychiatric care for the remainder of her life due to depression."
The scariest place in Georgia is The Olde Pink House Restaurant in Savannah, while in North Carolina it's the USS North Carolina Battleship Memorial in Wilmington.
