America's Favorite Grocery Store Is ...

Publix is America’s favorite grocery store.   The employee owned grocery chain moved up from being second the past four years to tie Wegmans, the New York based chain, in a survey of more than 12,500 adult shoppers by Market Force Information® (Market Force).    Each scored 77% on Market Force’’s Customer Loyalty Index.    Trader Joe’s is a very close second at 76% and the Texas based H-E-B ranks third at 69%.    ALDI and Harris Teeter rounded out the top five with 68% and 66%.

Publix ranked at the top for being able to find the items they want, and had the cleanest stores and fastest checkout speeds.   Trader Joe’s had the most courteous cashiers.   ALDI once again led for value. Walmart landed at the bottom in all categories but one.

Here's the top five favorite grocery stores:

Publix: 77%

Wegmans: 77%

Trader Joe's: 76%

H-E-B: 69%
