For the second year in a row, Amazon is the U.S. company with the best reputation. That's the result of an online survey of more than 30,000 adults to create the 2017 The Reputation Quotient Ratings from Harris. The survey analyzes brand reputation of companies across six gauges: social responsibility, vision and leadership, financial performance, products and services, workplace environment, and emotional appeal.
The top five companies:
1.) Amazon
2.) Wegmans
3.) Publix
4.) Johnson & Johnson
5.) Apple
Other well know companies include Google, with dropped from 5th last year to 8th this year. Netflix ranks 18th, Microsoft 20th and Facebook is 66th. The effects of the exploding smart device saw Samsung drop from 7th last year to 49th.
The company that we like the least is Takata, they're the ones who produced millions of defective airbags that killed eight people and injured at least 100 more. They are followed closely by Wells Fargo.
