Rick Hundorfean, Chief Executive Officer, MUSC Health Rehabilitation Hospital an affiliate of Encompass Health
Rick Hundorfean joined MUSC Health Rehabilitation Hospital an affiliate of Encompass Health in 2021 as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Prior to this role, Rick held various leadership positions in the post-acute, acute care, academic medicine and outpatient settings including CEO of University Hospital’s Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Kindred Healthcare, Administrative Director for the Neurological, Spine and Pain Management Institutes at University Hospitals Health System, Department Administrator for the Division of Pain Management at Cleveland Clinic and five additional years spent in continuous improvement/program management roles at the Cleveland Clinic. Rick holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Manufacturing and Systems Engineering from Ohio University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a healthcare focus from Baldwin Wallace University. Rick serves as the Chair for the 2024-2025 American Heart Association Lowcountry Heart Walk which is set to take place in February 2025. Rick and his wife, Jamie are proud parents to their two year old, heart survivor, Ricky.
