Join the Charleston Parks Conservancy at Colonial Lake for Light the Lake on Friday, December 6, 2019.
It will be an evening of holiday festivities that the entire family will enjoy. There will be holiday cookie decorating with Publix, a photo booth, letters to Santa station, and an ugly Christmas sweater contest. Model boats from the Charleston Model Yacht Club will be sailing on the lake during the event. Santa's carriage will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. There will also be food trucks from Coffee Grounds, Kickin' Chicken, Roti Rolls, and more.
The lighting of the tree in the center of Colonial Lake will be led by Mayor John Tecklenburg, alongside a performance from the Meeting Street Watoto Charleston Ensemble.
Admission and activities are free.
