Charleston Riverdogs Receive South Atlantic League Club Merit Award

"Out of the Ballpark" Home Run Award (with actual ball)

The Charleston Riverdogs have received the Club Merit Award from the South Atlantic League for their incredible efforts this past year!

This prestigious award recognizes the baseball franchise as a whole for their top overall operation. The Riverdogs also received this honor in 2006 and 2012.

A few Riverdogs team members also received some high honors. Dale Stickney, Business Manager, was named "Female Executive of the Year", Assistant General Manager, Ben Abzug, was named "Sales Executive of the Year", and Ben AvRutick, team bat boy, was named "Bat Person of the Year".

The Charleston Riverdogs had a big year with promotional nights that gained national attention (who remembers "Helen McGuckin Night"...definitely worth 5-stars) and having a total attendance of 301,320 even with the season finale being cancelled due to Hurricane Dorian.

2020 Opening Day for the Riverdogs will be April 9th at Riley Park.
