Chris Soules appears to be going from "The Bachelor" to the big house. The reality star, who also appeared on "Bachelorette" before getting his own shot at love in 2015, was reportedly driving his truck in Iowa when he rear ended a John Deere tractor, sending it into a ditch.
The driver of the tractor was taken to the hospital where he later died of his injuries. In the meantime, Soules fled the scene, but was arrested after witness' ID'd him and called police.
TMZ is reporting the police report confirms Soules was in possession of "alcoholic beverage containers," but at this point, he's only being charged with leaving the scene with a death.
A spokesperson for the former Bachelor says, “Chris Soules was involved in an accident Monday evening (April 24th) in a rural part of Iowa near his home. He was devastated to learn that Kenneth Mosher, the other person in the accident, passed away. His thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Mosher’s family.”
A man related to the victim’s family has come to Chris's defense, telling People magazine the crash was nothing more than a “huge mistake.”
