Which is the most and least friendly of our 50 states? And where does South Carolina rank?
The global travel website Big 7 Travel conducted a sample survey of its 1.5 million-member social audience to determine which cities across the world are most welcoming for tourists. If you're looking for friendly, head to the land of 10,000 lakes. Minnesota was ranked number 1 overall, with its "homey feel and locals who go the extra mile to welcome tourists." Tennessee came in second, while South Carolina ranked as the third friendliest state in our nation.
Big 7 Travel writes "South Carolina’s residents are famously welcoming, making it such a friendly place to spend some time in. The Southern states are well known for their hospitality and kindness and South Carolina has both in spades."
On the bottom end of the survey was the Empire State, as New York was ranked as the least friendly of our 50 states.
