Here's a 2020 Vacation Idea That's Out Of This World!

How would you like to vacation in outer space? Starting next year, NASA will make it happen.

Beginning in 2020, the space agency will begin selling visits to the International Space Station (ISS). You'll be able to stay there for as long as 30 days. NASA CFO Jeff DeWit said in announcing the new program that it's all about "opening the International Space Station to commercial opportunities and marketing these opportunities as we've never done before." These opportunities are in part intended to reduce financial strain on the space agency, and are currently only open to U.S. citizens.

Start saving now though - your stay in the International Space Station will cost you $35,000 ... per night.

CNBC has detailed information on the "vacations."
