An Easy Way To Determine Your Ideal Weight

When you set out to lose weight, you probably have a magic number in mind: something in the normal BMI range, or what you weighed in college, or in your 30s.

A big challenge is trying to figure out what that number - that reasonable weight - should be. The owner of Jim White Fitness and Nutrition Studios has a formula to figure out what your goal weight should be. Just use a simple math equation:

WOMEN: Start at 100 pounds and add five pounds for every inch you are over five feet. So if a woman is 5'5" tall, her goal weight should be 125 pounds.

MEN: Start at 106 pounds and add six pounds for every inch you are over five feet. So at 6 foot tall, my goal weight is 178 pounds.

You should always consult with your doctor on important health things like weight loss. Learn more about this system in an article posted on the website Popsugar.com.
