For the last decade or more (depending on when you starting using MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, etc.), social media has dominated our time, but has it made our lives better? A new "Wall Street Journal" poll shows we just aren't sure.
- 55% think social media helps spread lies and falsehoods more than it does to educate us against misinformation
- 57% of us think Facebook and Twitter and sites like them do more to divide our country than unite it.
- 82% of us admit social media is, in general, a huge time-waster.
Despite all that, 69% of people in this poll said they still check social media at least once a day.
