You Can Help a Lowcountry Child

A few years ago, Rihanny was living in Roatan, a small island off the coast of Honduras. Today, she's living the life of a 9 year old in Mount Pleasant. However, things are different for her. She is now one of the 100,000 people in our country with sickle cell anemia.

Rihanny was brought back to the United States by a couple who were hoping to get her treatment. At the time she first came here, she was not doing all that well. But treatment for her sickle cell anemia has made all the difference in the world. That treatment is not cheap though, and despite all their efforts, the couple is unable to get Rihanny on their insurance.

Out of all this comes "Rally for Rihanny." A GoFundMe page has been set up, which includes Rihanny's story. You can give that a read by clicking here, where you can also make a donation, if you'd like to help.
