Get a $5,000 Grant to Help If You've Got a Baby On the Way

It's a big moment when you find out you're going to have a baby ... but it can also put some pressure on your family. Less than 1 in 5 men in the U.S., only 15%, are offered any paid paternity leave. And, most dads who do have it don’t believe they can take their full time off to care for a newborn. However, research shows when men have the opportunity to care for their children, the child, their partner and even where they work benefits overall.

So Dove Men+Care has pledged to provide $1 million in grants to fathers so that they may spend those first precious moments with their newborns at home.Dove will extend grants in increments of $5,000 to men without any access to paid paternity leave as part of their Pledge for Paternity Leave and Paternity Leave Fund. The grant program is a partnership between Dove and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, who says he was inspired after having a daughter of his own.

If you are, or are about to become a father and would like financial help while you care for an infant, apply for a grant by taking the paternity pledge here.
