1. Lincoln is in the Wrestling Hall of Fame.
He was an accomplished wrestler, losing only one of approximately 300 matches.
2. Lincoln created the Secret Service
On the day of April 14, 1865, the night he was shot, Lincoln signed legislation creating the U.S. Secret Service. The original mission of the law enforcement agency was to combat widespread currency counterfeiting.The Secret Service didn't begin protecting the president until 1901.
3. Lincoln never slept in the Lincoln Bedroom.
What is currently the Lincoln Bedroom was his personal office where he met with his Cabinet and signed documents, including the Emancipation Proclamation.
