Lose Weight This Halloween Without Exercising

We all know and understand that getting your heart rate up burns calories.    But exercise isn't the only way to do it.    According to a new study out of the U.K., watching scary movies does it as well.   Watching a good horror movie for 90 minutes burns about 150 calories, around the same as a 30-minute walk.    And, according to the research, movies with "jump scares" work best.

These are the top five scary movies the study looked at, and how many extra calories they burn:

1.  "The Shining"   - 184 calories.  (However, that movie is 2 hours and 26 minutes, so if you watch the whole thing, you burn 299 calories.)

2.  "Jaws"             -  161 calories.

3.  "The Exorcist"  -  158 calories.

4.  "Alien"              - 152 calories.

5.  "Saw"                - 133 calories.
