#GoodNews: Mom United With Daughter Missing for 14 Years

Jacqueline Hernandez was 6 years old when she was abducted from her home in Florida in 2007, reportedly by her father.

On September 2, the Clermont Police Detective Division received a call from Jacqueline’s mother, Angelica Vences-Salgado, who said she had been contacted by her daughter on social media. Jacqueline told her mother she was in Mexico and wanted to meet at The Point of Entry in Laredo, Texas.

Police coordinated with state and federal agencies ahead of the reunion "to intercept the victim and to determine if the identity of the female was the victim in this case."

After determining that the 19-year-old was in fact Jacqueline, she was reunited with her mother.
