Remembering A Man Who Impacted Wedding Receptions

It was on this date in 1996, we lost the great Larry LaPrise.     While you might not recognize his name, you've done his dance - or you've watch people do it.     In the early 40s, Larry wrote "Do the Hokey Pokey" for a ski club in Sun Valley, Idaho.   He first recorded the song with his group Ram Trio in 1948, and received a copyright for it in 1950.    He died at age 83.

But the song is not without controversy.    Did Larry LaPrise actually write "The Hokey Pokey?"
