• While the XXII Winter Olympics continue in Russia, dog lovers will have their eyes on Madison Square Garden at the Westminster Kennel Club Show, featuring a couple of dogs from the lowcountry.    Good luck to Sweetgrass Johann Tipper, owned by Dr. Catherine Martine, the President of Carolina Hearing Services in West Ashley.   Tipper is the top-rated long-haired dachshund in the nation, a champion of champions.
    Tipper, with his handler Rhanda Glenn, will compete today with the First breed class will be at The Piers at 1:30 this afternoon.    And to Low Rider Gimme Back My Bullets is an English bulldog, the first champion bred by owner-handler Corri Long of North Charleston.    Bullets is competing in his first trip to Westminster and his breed class is at 8:30 this morning.      You can watch both on-line at westminsterkennelclub.org.
