According to a new study done at the Cardiovascular Research Institute in Pennsylvania, people who went running for more than two to three hours a week have similar life spans to people who never exercise. It could be because running put too much wear and tear on your body, causing it to break down early. The healthiest people are the ones who get a moderate amount of exercise but don't overdo it.
2.) If you’re planning on flying any time soon, today is the best day to buy your tickets. According to the travel web site Hopper, Thursday is the best day to book both domestic and international tickets. There’s not that much of a price difference between booking on the best and worst day – which is Saturday for domestic tickets – it’s only $10. And book early – according to Business Insider, on average, you’ll get the cheapest fare if you book your tickets 54 days in advance of your flight.
3.) Exposure to morning light may help you slim down. That’s the conclusion of researchers at Northwestern Medicine, who, for the first time linked timing, intensity and duration of a person's light exposure during the day to their weight. The study revealed that people who had most of the daily exposure to even moderately bright light in the morning were thinner than those who had most of their light exposure later in the day. 20 to 30 minutes of morning light is enough to influence a person's body mass index. The researchers’ message is for you to get more bright light between 8 a.m. and noon.
