1.)     Today is the 6th Annual National Dress in Blue Day.     By participating you’ll be bringing attention to colon cancer and to celebrate the courage of those dealing with the disease.     The Colon Cancer Alliance started Dress in Blue Day in 2009.  Wearing blue today helps raise awareness that this is Colon Cancer Awareness Month, and the importance of screening for those 50 or older.    Learn more about the day here:

2.)     It’s now okay to be annoying in Grand Rapids, Michigan.   A statute passed by the city council 38 years ago said "no person shall willfully annoy another person.”    The Grand Rapids City Attorney is afraid that what's annoying and what isn't is so subjective that the law can be interpreted far too widely.    In addition to that one, the attorney has been looking for other old laws to scratch or revise.    Grand Rapids has been a city since 1850 and has a two-volume code book that is over 5,000 pages."

3.)     This weekend The Citadel and the College of Charleston are playing a 3 game series on the diamond, but the bad weather has forced a schedule change.     Tonight’s game is being moved to tomorrow afternoon starting at 2 at Joe Riley Stadium.    Then Sunday at 2, the teams will play at Patriot’s Point, with the final game in the series back at the Joe on Monday evening at 6.      The Bulldogs are currently a game below .500 at 6-7.    The Cougars saw their nine-game winning streak snapped with a loss to Toledo on Tuesday and are 10-2 on the season.
