An Ashley Ridge High School teacher is recovering, after a student assaulted her, hitting her in the face Monday, said Pat Raynor, a spokesperson with Dorchester District Two.
According to a press release, the student was disrespectful to the teacher who was on lunch duty. The situation escalated and the student hit her in the face. The teacher received medical treatment that involved several stitches.
The student was charged by law enforcement and is currently suspended. The district says the student will not have a hearing with the district's officer.
