Police in North Charleston responded to a room at Springhill Suites off Evangeline Drive Wednesday night. It's alleged the suspect Amanda Lee Miller would not come out the room after she was evicted.

Police say when officers asked her to come out she refused. While officers were waiting outside the door, the suspect was throwing drug paraphernalia out of the window, which were retrieved by police.

Police were able to open the door with an emergency key from hotel management. The incident report states officers entered the room and noticed a strong chemical smell. After searching the room, officers found a plastic Gatorade bottle and chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine in a "One Pot Cook" method.

Miller was arrested and taken to the Al Cannon Detention Center. Police say during the strip search they also discovered white powder in one of Miller's pockets which tested positive for meth. She was then given an additional charge of possession of methamphetamine.
